Default 32 steering

Does any one know the total length of a 32 ford passenger car steering shaft, measured from the end of the worm gear up. I measured a 34 shaft at 41 inches and was hoping they were the same length. Thanks, John

I don't have the '32 length handy, but it is shorter than both the early '33 shaft and the later '33-'34 shaft length by a considerable extent.

Thanks David. I'm putting a 32 steering box together for my 32 using 34 gears to get desirable 15 to 1 ratio. Someone cut the steering shaft off, but I have another with a bad worm gear and was going to use it to repair the one with the good worm gear, but still need to know how long it needs to be for my 32. According to the green bible the '32 should be 40.83" and 33-34, 41.75" tip to tip.
