Default 1947 Ford pickup door hinge hardware

I am building a 1947 Ford pickup that I acquired in pieces and I am struggling to find appropriate hardware for bolting the hinges to the body.

I know the thread size is 5/16-24 fine thread. I am somewhat confident they were oval head, not Flathead. Any reason I could not use a Flathead style head? I am looking for stainless bolts, I can get them in a Flathead but not Oval.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

1947 could have used slotted oval or phillips oval. No reason (other than authenticity) not to use flat head, allen head, torx, stainless, etc.
