Default 34 Wishbone Rubber Ball replacement

I think I have narrowed the shimmy in my car to a loose wishbone ball and will replace tomorrow. I have read up the archives here and the compressed air method seems to be a good bet to get the rubber ball on. Do I need to disconnect the brake rod support brackets form the radius rods or will they just stretch down when I drop the wishbone ball down to replace the rubber ? Thanks Karl

I would simply disconnect the brake rod brackets from the radius rods, jack up the front of the car in the center of the spring, and the radius rod ball will automatically drop down slowly where you can replace the ball. Use the air trick to replace the ball. (At least that's what to do on a 35, and they are similar)
