Default 60 hp cylinder head part number

The 37 Ford book says that part number for 37 60 hp cylinder head is 52-6050-B and that the heads used that year were aluminum. The cylinder head in my 37 Ford with 60 hp engine has part number 52-6050-C stamped on it. Would this be number for the cast iron cylinder head? Thanks.

Is your head cast iron? If it is, then that's the number. 52-C heads were introduced in 1940.

Did a simple test - my magnetized beer can opener sticks to the head so I would guess that means the head is ferrous metal and not aluminum. Thanks, MarkPa
