Maybe strut was wrong terminology. Load leveler sounds more appropriate.

Band aid solution isn't a good solution. |

I agree with others that the stance is really not to bad from the photos provided. A lot of times the old springs get crusty and don't move well for compression or rebound. A new spring or a carefully rebuilt spring would help get it up to snuff. Air shocks have a tendency to put a lot of the load on mountings that really weren't designed to carry a lot of load.
Street rods use all the bags & struts but the whole frame is redesiged to get the updated suspension components in there the way that they will best function. I've always felt the the old Fords had really smooth riding suspensions just the way they were designed as long as it is maintained in good condition. |
