Default 1948 ford flathead oil change

I have search the forums but cant seem to find the right answer to this very basic question (forgive me)......How do I remove the oil pan plug on my 1948 Ford Flathead V8? I just finished the ground up restoration and the engine was completely overhauled less than 4 years ago. The only reason I want to change the oil is to just make sure everything is fresh and working properly. Problem is, I cant remember how the plug comes out. Any help would be much appreciated.

So it does actually have threads and screws on? I thought it was just a plug?

Here's a picture of the plug showing the threads: https://www.macsautoparts.com/store/...d-ford-v8.html

Thanks for clarifying 4dFord. I had been told by others it was a plug with no threads which didn’t seem logical but wasn’t sure. Just ordered the wrench off eBay as well

I don't even trust a bottle of wine with a plug any more. Buy the screw top stuff.
Sure as heck would not trust a plug to keep the oil in my umpteen thousand flathead overhaul. A little black Permatex on the threads will help keep the bottom of the engine dry.
