Default Patch panels

When welding in patch panels with MIG, is it ok to have a few gaps in the weld line? I know if you are using a TiG you can weld with no gaps. I use MIG and stitch weld.

I use an Oxy Acetylene torch with aircraft tips. If there is a gap I make a piece to fit it or tack a piece of filler rod in the gap but that's a PITA. Most folks I've seen using a MIG set up just use a series of tack welds but gaps aren't going to be easy in thin metal no matter what welding equipment you use.

A gap is a hole in the joint. Is that what you want? If not turn off the stitch and use the continuous mode and skip around with short welds leaving no gaps.
