Default Mallory 11A Distributor

Oh-oh
Had this early Mallory rebuilt and put it away. Time to install it but.........
The Mallory 11a points cam does not adjust as does an original Ford by loosening the cam screw to set firing on #1.
Is the drive gear rotated to achieve alignment?

There is an article in Secrets magazine a few issues back that explains how to do this. If you remove the rotor you will see a slot near the base of the shaft. There are two small screws that you can loosen to turn the shaft or drive as you called it to set the cam lobe. I believe the dist needs to be removed to do this. If I remember correctly you loosen one screw then turn the shaft to see the second screw.
