Passing of Dick Fisher MARC mileage Chairman

Got this sad note this morning.


Dear Mileage Coordinators and Unaffiliated Mileage Program members,

It is with a broken heart that I write to tell you that Dick passed away on December 3 following a massive heart attack the previous afternoon. You will continue to see columns under his name in the Model “A” News through the January-February issue because of the gap between submission of articles and publication of the magazine.

I will continue handling the Mileage Program at least for the time being, so please be sure to send your reports in by February 28. Don’t forget to use our street address to ensure that your report isn’t delayed by the post office.

Thank you all for the cooperation you have given us over the years. Dick really enjoyed working with the program and with all of you.

It is sad when our hobby loses any person that was committed to helping the masses without compensation. My thoughts and prayers are extended to his family and friends. May his soul Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences. Wayne .

I met the Fishers when I was a member of the Greater Baltimore Region. I pray that Dick's soul will rest in peace in God's Kingdom of Heaven. I pray that morning for Dick will be short and replaced by found memories of him.

I am sorry for your loss Betty. Thank you for telling us. I always looked forward to contacting Dick with my mileage report and i know you worked closely with Dick.
