Default E-bay question...

A lot of you get on e-bay and I take it you have no problem "navigating" the site.

I seem to have a problem.

When I get to a subject I am interested in, below the photo are two choices "Zoom" and "Enlarge". Below those are small photos.

For some reason I can not get my computer to Zoom or Enlarge anything...It is stuck.

Just how can I get this to work for me?

Anybody else with this problem?

Thanks.

When you click "Zoom" or "Enlarge" it opens up a new window that image is displayed in. If you have a popup blocker activated on your browser it may prevent the page from opening up the new window. What browser are you using?

Most times (at least in eBay motors, car for sale), if you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a large picture of what you want and along the right side there are smaller (thumbnail) pictures. When you click on the small ones they open up as large ones on the same page. Pop-up blocker should not effect this. For parts, I am almost sure, as Tim said,it is a pop-up blocker.

Steve,

One other thing to check that I ran into on my daughter's PC recently. She was having a problem accessing a site that she needed for school. A popup window was being blocked, even though we disabled the popup blocker in Internet Explorer.

I discovered that a Google toolbar on her PC also had a popup blocker. Even though we changed the PC settings to disable the popup blocker, the Google Toolbar popup blocker was still blocking the popup window we needed. When the Google Toolbar popup blocker was disabled, we finally could see what we wanted to see.

So, if you are running a Google Toolbar, that could also be the problem.

Pluck,

See if this page can help you. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...sked-questions

Also, try this. When you click on the "enlarge" or "zoom" button, does a bar appear towards the top of your screen, it is typically yellow and says something like "this page is attempting to open another window..." If that bar appears, you should be able to click on it to display a list of options one of which will be "allow pop-ups from this site" or something along those lines. Then, go back and click "zoom" or "enlarge" again and it should work.

Pluck it sounds like you are blocking pop-ups from eBay. If the above recommendations do not work, try updating your Java.

Fordially,

We run a lot of macs at work. They have plenty of their own problems especially when it comes to compatibility with Safari.

Macs also have problems with printers. At least that has been our experience.
