You changed the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe because its smoking

Are you using fresh fuel?

Before you do anything, you need to do a diagnostic evaluation on the engine.
1. Compression test all four cylinders.
2. Check the timing, plugs, cap, points, condenser, rotor.
3. Check the valve gaps.

Well, here's the deal. Manifold and or tail pipe won't cause or cure smoke. Smoke is caused in the engine and that is a big topic.

Could be oil burning off or bad manifold gaskets.

If there are no odd sounds coming from engine? I would not rush to start taking things apart.

New gas with some Marvel Mystery Oil. Change you motor oil if you don’t know when it was last done. Than drive it. If still smoking after a coupe hundred miles, we can start checking other things. I would use 20w-50 HD oil in the engine if you don’t know it’s history. Maybe also a blue bottle of STP.

Please don’t become a parts replacer. Need to know what is wrong.

Enjoy.

Sometimes the new parts used are worse than what is removed!
