Tom Bay is a great guy who stands behind whatever he makes or sells.
I have never had a problem with his parts.

I have had good luck with Ryan over at Howells Sheet Metal in Beaumont Texas.
I know that people hate to do business with him but I have had my issues with them but they took care of them for me .

Tom Bay has his products in stock. I go by and pick up what I need and there are stacks everywhere, quite a setup. If you are wanting a dead stock copy of the original there are a few modifications required. There is a thread on the HAMB showing where these mods are needed to be totally correct. To me they are very minor issues, but for a purist they would need to be corrected.

I’m thinking about buying the complete floorpan with subrails from Tom Bay. I just want to make sure it’s a quality piece and it fits right.

It depends on what you are looking for. He is a supplier for some of the other outlets I believe. If you are interested in some of the details where Toms pieces vary from the originals I think I can dig some of that information up.

I'm out of town today, but can post this evening. Believe the only way to contact Tom is by phone. He is located in Arkansas City KS.

R & J Enterprises 620 441-0032

If you search on the HAMB you should find a lot of information.

Here is an example of a modification that would be required if you are wanting an "authentic" floor pan. The dimple shown in the second photo is not is the floor panels Tom sells. The first photo shows the tool made to correct this. Now that I think about it, I not sure if the floor pan or the sub-rail requires the mod, I'll have to check!

I think his floorpan has this bump. I think there is supposed to be 3 on each side of the floor.

Tom does not have a web site. Just had a chance to go check, the floor panel has the correct raised areas, it is the sub-rail that does not. Me being somewhat lazy and the fact that the floor is covered, I just cut the area out of the sub-rails to fit. I also weld the pieces together vs spot welds. Again to me it is covered and I'm not attempting exact reproductions. But if you want it to be correct, it is fairly easy to add the dimpled area to the sub-rails. There are additional issues with the sub-rails, there is a hole missing that is required for the 5-window coupe at the rear door pillar. Again a very simple fix. They also require a few small cuts and rewelds to get the curve to match like I want. So, the point is, these are fairly good repo parts, but they do require some modifications if you are wanting exact replacements.
