Default Early Ford V8 Sales, Inc.

Has anyone purchased an engine from this company? Pretty impressive website and even more impressive prices on their "crate" motors, but I'd like to hear some feedback on experiences anyone has had buying & running one of their engines.

I did search for the info, but didn't find anything.

Thanks for your help,
-Bob

Flathead - either an 8BA, 59A, or 8CM is listed on their website.

South Carolina - not much information on their web site so I would imagine the crate engines are nearly stock. You being in NY and the engine in SC, I would suggest a short phone call followed by a gazillion questions in the next call. If you are still interested, followed by a visit. A motel is small price to pay for a $5k purchase.

Personally, I'm looking hard a Flathead City in so Oregon. But their engines are double in quality and price.

I believe they are the same outfit that use to be in New York. I know they closed up here and went south. If it is same outfit, I was always pleased with every thing they sold. Never purchase a motor but a lot of other stuff. They were always helpful and great to do business with.

same group that was in NY and good people to deal with, call Ken and ask as many questions as you need answered, he ( and they) are easy to deal with and better yet, IF there is a problem they will make it right.

Call and request to speak to Lou Grosso. Lou is or was the #1 guy and always great to do business with when his company was in Ballston Spa , N.Y.
In your backyard is 'Valve en Blocs' run by Mark Moriarty, 585 786 2876. A sit down with Mark to hammer out details will be worth your time and $$$$.
Lou and Mark are both good people.

I believe you will find Lou, Ken and his folks to be most helpful and great to work with. I do business with them all the time and have never been disappointed. (Ordered from them today) Lou has visited my shop as well. Good people.

Can't speak for their engines, but I've bought a bunch of stuff from them with no issues. Great customer service as well.

When they were up in NY, Gary our local NAPA machine shop guy said he would rebuild 3-4 flathead's a month for them. I assume they have a shop in S.C. That they use for machine work now.

I bought parts from Lou and Ken when they were in Balston Spa in New York and also now in South Carolina. It is a first-class operation and they go out of their way to make sure you are happy.

He owns "Valve en Blocs" Engine rebuilding for Ts As and V8s
He is very close to you so shipping should be less.
