Default '36 Coupe Door Panel / Arm RTest Question

I didn't have any upholstered door panels on my '36 doors when I got it. In order to install arm rests, I see there's a "hook strap" that fits into a cutout on the inner door structure on the instructions (copy below), but I guess they assume I already have the hooks for them.

Could someone, please, give me the dimensions of the hook and how far down the hook, the screw holes are for the arm rest are located?

Many thanks for your help.
-Bob

Default Re: '36 Coupe Door Panel / Arm RTest Question

I believe there were a couple of slightly different length hook straps. I do not know which length is for what years. I believe this is for 35-36: How about 1.37 W X 3.71 outside L X 0.052" Thick. The two mounting holes for the sheet metal screws are in the C/L of the strap width and the bottom hole is approx 0.56" from the square bottom of the strap. At the small end of the arm rest is a special washer 2" L X 1.01" W X 0.065" Thick with both small ends radius and the one mounting hole in the center.
