I didnt think it would work.
I didn't think my 12 volt timing gun would work on my 6 volt car, but it did, so the car has perfect timing and is running very well.

You hooked the 12 volt gun to your 6 volt battery and it worked?
Interesting. I always grab a 12 volt battery from my garden tractor for this purpose. Less work if I can hook it to the 6 volt battery. |

Yes, it worked on the FS Distributor for adjustment, I took off the stock distributor.

Yup it'll work, the light just won't be as bright.

Voltage is a akin to pressure difference from two different points, Amperes is akin the the amount of flow of electricity. so yes it would work but with less pressure if you will.
