Default Clutch Disc?

Had problems shifting into gear, so I took the inspection plate off and noticed a spring missing from the clutch disc. How could something like that happen?

LOL funny you should mention this because I was just going to start a new thread about clutch discs with no springs. Yes, there are some poorly made discs that drop the springs out, so be careful to find a disc with no springs, or one with good spring cages around the springs.

This is what a modern Ford clutch disc looks like. Notice the spring cages.

Don't accept anything less ...
