What is the diameter of the fuel shut off valve and is the line going to the glass bowl 5/16?

IIRC the line is 3/8". Don't understand what you mean about the diameter of the fuel valve.

The fuel line changed size, but you'd have to check the Judging Standards or Service Bulletins to find out when. I don't recall the date off hand.
