Stromberg Carb and electric fuel pump?
If you have a Stromberg on your Model A, are you using a fuel pump too?

Re: Stromberg Carb and electric fuel pump?
I am currently running my "97" on gravity. Haven't fully decided on whether or not I am going to leave it that way. Have about 250 miles on it so far, and so far - so good. Have the fuel pump and plumbing standing by just in case.

Re: Stromberg Carb and electric fuel pump?
I ran my stromberg 81's on gravity at first, but I felt I was driving into the wind. I put on a pump and what a difference...

Re: Stromberg Carb and electric fuel pump?
The car runs great until over 65, it seems to run out of gas, so I have to slow down. Iam wondering if the pencil filter in the gas tank, the mesh filter above the glass bowl and nappa filter in the bowl are restricting a bit of the flow. I think 3 filters are overkill.

BTW, why would you even want to drive 65, much less any faster? |

Re: Stromberg Carb and electric fuel pump?
Sounds like it probably does run out of gas. The gravity flow is not able to keep up with the fuel demand at speed. The pump will fix it.
