Default Performance Distributor?

Which do most prefer? The Mallory or FS ignitions?

FS. We have 4 and have never had a problem. A lot of people here run them.

I've been using Nu Rex about 12 years now works fine for me. Never had a problem But I have to carry a complete ign. System under my set that's the only downside.

My stock dist ran fine on the dist machine to 4500 rpm, in the car it doesn't go over 3200---more than enough performance for me, plus it is reliable, no need to carry a whole dist in case of electronic problems, i just carry a spare set of points and a condenser---in the 25 years since I put in the A&L condenser I havn't done anything except clean, lube and adjust the points

Bubba's ignition makes a nice Malory kit. I bought one and it is curved for 30* advance, perfect for an A. I sold it because it needed to be removed to oil and I did not care for that feature. I have always used a stock distributor and it works fine.

Centrifugal advance would give more power and economy though.
