Never trusted tachs after my buddies Norton tach got installed in error on my Velocette. Could not understand why it would not go over 5,000 rpm. Found out later it was actually running at 10,000 rpm without damage. That is why I loved the Velocette. Not many 500cc single cylinder motorcycles could run like this without imploding.
BTW listen to the motor, do not rely on cheap instruments. |
