Default Brake pedal

I have an AR Truck where the service and the emergency brakes use the same brake shoes. Is there a difference in the length of the actuation arm on the brake pedal? Mine may be a later brake pedal causing me to need to use both feet in an emergency for a quick stop. Any ideas???
