Default Horn button

When blowing my horn I have to find the right place on the horn button so the horn will sound right. What is my problem and how do I cure it. Thanks John

Mine did the same thing when I first bought it. The fix was as easy as pressing on the horn button and rolling it around in kind of a rolling motion. Light rust and dust collects when the car sets for long periods of time, and the pressing and rolling on the horn button was enough to scrape down to clean metal for me.

I haven't tried spraying anything under the horn button, but there may be a good cleaning liquid also.

my horn works only when I connect one wire, button does not work on the steering wheel. What could be the problem? The harness wires connections work everywhere else.

Do you have an aftermarket horn or original?

That is what it sounds like to me an aftermarket horn, The insulator to keep the horn separate from the body was lost.

You have a short in the horn as the only ground comes from the horn button.

Does it blow no matter which terminal you attach to the power?
