Default Radio delete bars

I need a set of radio delete bars for a '39 Deluxe coupe. I don't know if this was an after market product. I can't find a supplier for them in any parts catalogue. Anyone got a idea. Anyone have a set for sale? Thanks...Nick

I have a Genuine Ford NOS Radio Delete Plate for a 1940 Ford. I don't know if that would help you or not. If so, you can have it for $35.00 plus $5.00 Priority Mail.

The 40 plate is much different than the 39 plate.

NICK .................
I don't, personally, know the differences between the '39 Deluxe and the '40 model, but I measured the width of my NOS '40 Radio Delete Bar and it is 1 13/16". It has all the mounting tabs present.

I have a very rusty original 39 Deluxe radio delete plate that I have copied for a few people out of hardwood and then covered it with Bare-Metal-Foil(a model building product to duplicate chrome) then paint the stripes dark brown. It really looks good when completed and is not too difficult to make. The only drawback is it is not as rugged as the original. Anyone with a table saw and moderate woodworking skills can make one. PM me if you want the dimensions and directions to make your own (I don't believe a 40 will work). Toby

Nick, I do know a guy who does have a 1939 Ford radio delete plate that I think he will sell.I have seen it and it is in very good condition. The 39 plate is one piece, but it is very different from a 40 plate. If you want to PM me,I will help you to contact him. Tom Byrd

Radio controls were on the bottom under the speaker in the 38 & 39. They then moved to the top above the speaker for 1940. The controls were still very similar.
