Smile Barnfind (sort of) in Denmark

Hi,

Based on my original post:

http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126060

I bought this car in Denmark:

https://plus.google.com/photos/11266...CLTmzOD7p8DMHQ

It is a tudor 1930 model which has been sitting untouched for 42 years. In 1972 the engine, brakes and steering was overhauled/restored and then it was put away for later restoration, but the owner never managed to do so. I got the car with many other parts (incl another engine, but without a top cover) for the equivalent of 3500 USD. I have many duplicates - but many parts are also missing - like a front glass windscreen.

My plan is to make the car street legal but without painting and making it beautiful. I already managed to get the engine running :-)

I will probably ask a lot of dumb questions in the future :-).

Great photos & video. Good luck with the Tudor.
Try to get a Restoration/ Maintenance Manual [ in English there is L. Pearson or L. Andrews both available in US] or contact local enthusiasts..
Good to see more Model A's in Denmark

Great find! I'm sure you'll enjoy the project and driving the Tudor.

To Bikemaniac,
Congratulations. Seems like you got a good buy on your car. As far as the front windshield goes, it's flat shatterproof glass and should be easy to find at an auto glass place.
Don't worry about the questions. There are no dumb questions.
All the best.

I already bought the Les Andrews books (3 books). They are really great, however they don't explain everything:

Except for the engine, the car is more or less split into atoms. All parts are there (almost) incl new rubber grommets, welts etc. However, I have never driven or owned a Model A before. And because I myself did not disassemble the car I have a hard time finding out what goes where. For instance I spent hours on the internet looking a restored Model A photos to find out exactly how the choke rod it attached to the carburetor with all the springs, sleeves etc.

The next big job is getting the gas tank in place. However Andrews mentions something about cloth tapes anti squeak material - but without exact pictures it is kinda difficult.

Next, I also need to install the body, I have the wooden blocks but I have a hard time finding a good description on how to align the body incl the aprons etc etc.
