1935 model 60
just starting to get my 1935 model 60 cabriolet out of long term storage ready for the road again.
had to have the radiator recored it was blocked solid with silt fitted new exhaust.. rebuilt the carburettor cleaned out jets fitted new accel,r pump kit removed distributer cleaned points. but engine missfires will not rev easily when i short out plugs the outer two spark well the inner two spark weekly. what should the points gaps be what else could cause the week spark on the inner plugs. thanks roger |

I would recommend setting your points on a dist. machine if you can find someone that has one otherwise a manual KRW dist fixture and lastly by using a ruler. Someone will chime in here on that method. You may have a bad condenser and maybe some bad plug wires leaking in the conduits.

That's a right-hand-drive car. Note No steering wheel, and the outside door lock below handle, as well as step pad on LEFT fender for rumble seat. WHERE is Spalding? DD

Not only is it RHD, it's English. Note the headlite lenses and fender mounted side lights

What model V8 engine is fitted to this 1935 Cabriolet as they had the 4 main bearing V8 -60 engine and the normal 21 stud engine fitted to them.

I believe that's the little 22 horsepower English V8 for '35 or so, similar to the eventual American V8-60. Note Ian's complete engine (pretty snazzy, too) in the pic below. DD

but my father was suddenly taken ill and is in hospital at the moment. so not much time at the moment roger. near spalding lincolnshire uk. |
