Default 1938 Wagon - interior battery box enclosure

What is the correct material for the under dash battery box enclosure ? My 38 has an unpainted cardboard box.

Thank you

ARGGHHH! I just sold a very nice original. It would have pleased me had it gone to your project.
It was some type of fiberboard.
