Default Window Crank Handle Restoration Article by Tim Johnstone?

I spent much of Hershey searching for replatable original interior hardware for for my 1930 Std. Tudor. I can't stand the repro stuff that the previous owner installed in it. A local club member says that in the last few years Tim Johnstone wrote an article for one of the national club magazines on the subject of restoring window crank handles. We looked through the club collection of magazines back to early 2012 and could not locate it in any table of contents. Does anyone know the month/year and which magazine this article might be in? Thanks in advance for any info that might help me.

-Mike

Thanks Gary,
I'll look these articles up and see what's in them. I'm told the Johnstone article is more recent? Which is the reason we only looked back a few years in the magazines.

I bought new cranks and had the Taiwan finish re-plated by Craig Riker in Ohio. They look much better now.

Thanks for the list Steve.

Greg,
Craig is who will be replating everything. My problem is the knob on the repo standard regulators is incorrect. I mentioned using the repo arms with original knobs to a club member and they mentioned the Tim Johnstone article which I have not been able to locate, unless the article was alot older then my friend remembers and it is one of the article Steve and Gary listed above. I will be looking them all up the next time I can get over to the club libary.
Thanks again,
Mike
