Henry Ford " There are two kinds of people in the world, those that say they can and the others say they can't. Both are correct."

I'd suggest not trying pinstriping.....I've been doing it for 43 years & I'm still learning !!

Pinstriping is one place where Ford 'surrendered' to skilled labor..they paid top dollar, performance was key, they went so far as to hire women...skills ruled.

A funny thing about me and stripping...
I’m right handed. I can stripe the drivers side going front to rear to my so~so satisfaction.
Then there’s the passengers side.....OMG. You’d think going left to right on passenger side would work but NO
I dunno ...

I guess mine is bending glass for brass-era closed cars. Someday I will venture into that territory as I have some brass lamps I want to fabricate.

I know the above is not Model-A related, so if I had to pick the most difficult item for me in A restoring, it would either be fuse-welding on a stainless shell, -or accurately sewing upholstery to make it look exactly like Ford did it instead of a 3rd grade kid.

That shocked me when I first read this

I think this fellow is thinking about Bill Williamson. He DID die recently had been in an extended care home. Bill was a pretty good source of Model A info, nice guy too.

Re-machining the casting well and making new oversized paddles for a warped pot metal vacuum wiper would be an interesting 3 axis challenge that I no longer have the mental drive to do. I have a bucket full (warped, not repaired)!

You are probably thinking of Bill Williamson rather than Tom.
