Anyone ever seen one of these?
Found this in a collection of 40 Ford stuff and was wondering what it might have been used for. Brass stamped strip "1940 Ford Sedan Delivery". Maybe something a dealer had?

The font looks like that of a "Dymo LabelMaker", a device that was used 20-30 years ago to make labels on plastic tape. Perhaps they had an industrial model that would take metal? My vote is "home-made".

Re: Anyone ever seen one of these?
Tubman, we had one in our shop to make labels to be nailed onto scenery. It has a roll of brass sheet on a coil and a sort of typewriter to print out both letters and numbers. The brass coil came in different widths and was easily changed. You can't believe the stuff we printed out.
