Default Changing The Rear Mount on a 32

I have had to rebuild my differential so its out of the car. I would like to change the rear transmission mount as well as the rubber is not very good. Can it be changed without pulling the engine and transmission? Or at minimum can the engine and TX be moved forward enough by disconnecting the front mounts and radius rods snubber etc to allow the mounting plate to drop down past the output shaft of the TX?

Even with the rear axle and universal joint removed, you would have to move the engine transmission assembly forward by 2" - 3" in order for the transmission mount to clear the end of the transmission output shaft. If you did that you could cut the safety wire running through the bolt heads attaching the mount to the rear of the transmission housing and remove the bolts (working through the opening in the center cross member). You would remove the mount from the top, not the bottom, so dropping the front wishbone would not be required.

Having said that, I would think that overall it would be easier to pull the engine/transmission assembly out of the car to change the rear mount.
