Default Horn identification question

I have review pictures of the 5 horns used on the model A. I'm new and mine is not one of them? I have taken it a part and have the motor working but it would be helpful if I knew what horn it is so I can try to get it working again. I know I should throw it out and get a proper one but they are a little expensive for that right now. Thanks, see pictures

That does not look like an original model A horn.

Most of the modern replacements were Hutchins but that doesn't look
like one. A picture of the whole horn might help.

another one, the other thing about this horn is the screw that holds the cover on extends from the back cover all the way into the motor base.

The horn in this pic is one of those Hutchins horns. They are not designed to be repaired nor rewound. When one goes out, you trash it and get another one or the correct horn for your baby. These cheap horns are everywhere. Not Model A horns.

Should you need me, I am here.

I would assemble it and give it a try. You may have to do some adjusting to get the right sound, and all those type of horns that I've seen have the adjustment on the diaphram, so you need to make sure the screw and lock nut turn OK before putting it together.

My 29 came with a common JC Whitney 6 volt horn, but it had excellent sound and worked great. I sold it and used the money to buy an original horn.

Thanks that helps, wasn't sure about the adjustment. I couldn't tell if it was the diaphragm and the rear screw which didn't look like it would do much if anything. I'm cleaning it up now, I'll make sure the diaphragm screw is working and give it a try. I'll contact the "horn man" after the holidays about a "real" A horn.

I have a horn like that. Once you get it adjusted, which a bit of a pain because there is no external screw, it works quite well.
