ID This 1930 AA - The BED ANYWAY
The bed must be from something later than 1930. It's huge!
Dennis [email protected] And I added pic of Tailgate FORD - Not mix/match DODGE. I've never seen one like this - 1935/36 give the wheel well location in relation to wheels? Last edited by Itchy-Pit; 01-30-2017 at 08:26 PM. |

Re: ID This 1930 AA - The BED ANYWAY
Looks like the one on a late 40's or 50's Ford 3/4 ton.

Re: ID This 1930 AA - The BED ANYWAY
I was looking at that ad yesterday. It's a 48-mid 50 Ford bed. My guess is it's an F2 or F3 8 foot bed.

Re: ID This 1930 AA - The BED ANYWAY
I think I see the bolt-outline for the post-war fenders.
If this were my project, and I were keeping the box, I think I would consider centering the box over the rear-axle, and perhaps mounting a cab / box-width tool chest between the front of the box and the cab. This gives me some ideas though... I dearly want a "Walton's" AA Express, which are scarce as hen's teeth, and expensive when they do turn-up... I could build a reasonable (for me) facsimile from a 131" WB cab & Chassis, and one of these '48-'52 (?) 8-ft boxes... |

Too bad it's on the other side of the US... good project for someone out West. |
