Front and rear spring welt
Hello everyone, I'm putting my chassis back together and was wondering if anyone knows if there was any welting on top of the front and rear spring beneath the cross member? I see no mention of it on Brattons or Snyders yet Sacramento vintage ford sells pieces for it. I don't see a mention of it in the judging standards either. Thanks in advance for any input!

Re: Front and rear spring welt
Thanks for the replies, that's what I suspected! John - I have not gotten my frame back yet, hopefully by the end of the week I'm just getting ready. I have knocked off the groves and edges in the rear spring, disassembled it, wire brushed it, painted the under side of each leaf with slip plate graphite and lightly greased it, assembled and painted so that's ready to go! Its nice to be finally putting things back together on the car!
