Christmas Model A picture thread
Hello everyone! Just thought it would be fun to start a picture thread of Model A's with a Christmas theme. If you have any Model A photos with a Christmas or winter theme lets see it! It could be your car in the snow, wearing a wreath or lights, vintage pictures too! I remember seeing a vintage dealer photo of an A400 in the showroom with piles of tinsel around it - it would be fun if someone has a scan of that photo or knows anything about it. I would post a photo of mine but ever since I got it, my car tends to go to pieces around the holidays for more work! Maybe next year it will be running and in one piece for the family Christmas card shot. Anyhow Happy holidays!

This was where our snow trip stalled when a tree fell across the road. Turned around and headed back down the hill.
Merry Christmas and best of the Holiday Season to all!

Re: Christmas Model A picture thread
I think this may be the photo you asked about. It is included in the excellent book "The Ford Dealership Volume II" by Henry Dominguez.
The dealership has the A400 set in what appears to be evergreens, fake snow & an amazing amount of tinsel. Last edited by Vern; 05-30-2020 at 08:10 PM. |

Re: Christmas Model A picture thread
That's the one I was thinking of. I'm pretty sure I saw this picture in an old restorer magazine, the dealer sounds familiar so I wonder if it was in a story about that particular dealership? That book sounds interesting. I might have to go look for a copy!

Re: Christmas Model A picture thread
Terry, you look REALLY cold standing by your wagon. Does that thing have a heater or were you frozen on the during the ride?

Re: Christmas Model A picture thread
30Artdeco Actually was not really cold - 28-30 degrees maybe. I have an Autolite type heater that works pretty good for the passenger if the car is moving. I think I was just slouching.

Re: Christmas Model A picture thread
Jim, I enjoy that picture of your car in the snow. The French gray(?) wheels and the whitewalls match the snow colors on the trees and the deep blue and black on the car are a great contrast. Great pictures.
