Default Need Seat Info.

I'm in the process of rebuilding a Model 40B Roadster body and I have a seat related question for those who know such things.

My impression, after looking at numerous catalogs and research a couple of books I have, is that the roadster seat does not have a seat frame such as used in the coupes. Further, it appears that the seat cushion attaches directly to the seat riser and the back cushion attaches at the top only and is held in place at the bottom by the seat cushion.

Is this correct or am I way off base? All information gratefully accepted.

Thanks,

MAG - Q: Does the seat cushion have a wooden frame such as the one on the coupe o do the springs just sit on the riser?

Many thanks for the previous info!

Not sure about the early models but there isn't a wooden frame in my 31 roadster seat.

Wire frame of cushion sit on and it is held in position by the seat riser.

Thanks, Bill. That's what I thought. The '28-'29 models do have a wooden bottom, I think.
