Default cracked 59ab

Help fordbarn
59AB factory relived. Very small crack intake valve along the relief. and under the seat.

If it’s not deep into the port it can be pinned and a new seat installed.

And if that won't fix it, it can always be welded.
Or you can talk to the guy on this forum that listed several pallets of blocks yesterday. Good chance to upgrade to an 8ba block.

From ultrasonic testing a whole bunch of them, the castings are thicker almost everywhere.

A big advantage to some car builders is they are far easier and cheaper to adapt to a Chevrolet transmission.

If this helps I still have my 8BA block for sale in the swap meeting for sale section. It is a good block that has been tested, bored and sold with a merc crank an a 3/4 cam. thanks
