Default Christmas in Stockbridge, MA

I've taken the '53 Courier to Stockbridge, MA for the Christmas in Stockbridge recreation of the Norman Rockwell painting. Will there be any other Barners at this event?

Thumbs up Re: Christmas in Stockbridge, MA

I envy you ...

Back in 1999 - Peter Stockbridge visited the Phoenix Art Museum
and gave a talk about memories of growing up in MA.

He was the model for the little boy on the train traveling alone
and being served by a black waiter.

He was restless & somewhat impatient -Norman told him
Peter could have any toy he wanted at Macys' once they were thru that day...

Peter survived ...

Norman Rockwell was a master of light study,
what a brilliant artist he was ....

Enjoy your trip !

I really enjoyed the Rockwell museum when my wife and I visited. The town is so pretty during Christmas time.

I agree the town is quite pretty decked out for Christmas time, even in the pouring rain. Saturday was a wash out so we visited the Norman Rockwell museum went through 4 of the mansions on the tour. Sunday was bright and cold. We put the car in the show and enjoyed the downtown area of Stockbridge.

How Pretty! Maybe I'll be fortunate enough to see Stockbridge some day. In the meantime, my only connection to Stockbridge, MA came in 1967 when, metaphysically, I went to Stockbridge; "I want tell you about the town of Stockbridge, Massachusets, where this happened.........." "Alice's Restaurant" Arlo Guthrie

Thanks for posting!

Chuck, I've always been a fan of Norman Rockwell, and that looks like fun, albeit a bit too cold for my taste these days.
