Default wrong / worn axle shims

Guten Abend!

About 3500 ml / <2 years ago I revised all the brakes. Since the rear brake drums were too loose on the axle cone, I used the thin spicer / cone / axle shim.

Today I installed new brake shoes because the old ones were still thick, but led to extreme fading because overharding, I think.

I noticed that the mounted spicers were crushed and crumbly.

Did I do something wrong with the assembly back then?
