Hole in the floor ?
I know there’s a logical simple answer. What is the elongated hole in the wood floor for ? It’s near the battery but you can’t really access or remove the battery from there Was trying to post a pic but ....

That hole is access to allow checking the electrolyte level in the battery cells. The hole is covered by a metal plate held in place with metal clips.

Battery access, to service water or jump start, there should be a panel to cover the hole.
