1932 Ford Diamond "B" banger motor...what have I got?
I recently aquired ths Diamond B motor. It came out of a numbers matching '32 sedan. I'm not sure, but I think it's a replacement engine. It has a date code A 306 cast into the block forward of the fuel pump. I thought Diamond B motors were for Combines and Industrial engines.
What does the "A" stand for? What does 306 stand for? I have another Diamond B motor in a AA truck that has a date code B 36, so I know it was built in 1936. inquirin' minds... Where's 4ever4 and PovertyFlats when you need them? |

Diamond engines were offered by ford as replacements. Might try a search on the A forum.
