Rubber Mat Fasteners
Attached is a photo of one of the four “studs” above the slanted floorboard on my 1930 Coupe. It’s painted green, is in the center of the photo, protrudes about 3/16” and is about 5/16” in diameter.
How do you use these? Do you punch holes in the rubber mat and slip it over the studs or is there something different you do? |

Re: Rubber Mat Fasteners
Originally, the mats had a piece of reinforcing cotton duck glued or almost vulcanized to the back side of the mat around the holes as reinforcement. It was about 3" square.

The repro rubber mats need that around all the openings in the mat.

Do you have some photos of what the back side of an original rubber floor mat looks like? Thanks. Pluck |

Re: Rubber Mat Fasteners
Thanks Shew01. I saw those full size mats, but I have carpet and what I'm looking for are just black or tan matts about 12"x14" with Ford emblem. Didn't mean to change the subject.
