Default installing door glass 1934 3 W

I have new safety glass cut, bought Vintique window side channeling, and also the same companies lower glass metal channel for both doors. The regulators were in the otherwise bare doors on the 34 3 Window. I have confirmed, cleaned and re-lubed both regulators. Would anyone happen to have copies from the original Ford manual which describes the install process in detail? Or lend me your voice of experience? This is a tight-fit area and I'd prefer to do it once, correctly, and with least amount of blood loss. Thanks in advance.

Its been discussed here before, basically you need to put the glass in first and wire or tape it all the way up. Then, install the regulator and channel, then drop the glass down into the channel. Some front to back adjustment of where the glass sits in the channel will most likely be needed to get the smoker window adjustment to function. Good luck, its a nasty job

Thx. In times past when I have installed glass in metal channel I have used oil on the setting tape. This results in expansion/selling of the tape fairly soon after. This leads to a tight fit. I'm thinking Ford must have had exact positioning measurements for placement in the channel. Speed would have been necessary on the assembly line.

Ron Don't use the setting tape it sets to quickly and doesn't allow adjustment
I used urethane which worked well

Ford did not use setting tape originally for door window glass, but rather a u-shaped rubber channel with a lip on one side facing outward to minimize water entering the door.

Helpful tips. Thanks! Ford laborer's must have used a unique tool or suction on both sides of the glass to hold and maneuver the glass into the channel. This is a real chore.
