Default Leaf Tour In The Merc

Took the time for a long overdue cruise in the Merc yesterday. Always try to get some pictures and video of the fall colours here. I took this video on the way to and from Grandpa's farm. Even got in a couple of miles of paved highway. 65 mph and plenty of travel left on the pedal but I didn't push it.

Can't beat the "Purr-fect" rumble of a flatty Boy, the beautiful terrain sure is flat where you live.

I envy you Ralph, I can't drive 500 feet without a traffic light. Reminds me of that song "I can see for miles and miles and miles". Beautiful country to enjoy your car in!!!

I surfed Ralph's selection of videos and came across Alex driving her 10 wheeler.
Poetry in action the way she stirred thru the gears and handled that truck....not to

mention the baby seat on the passenger side. Any dad would be so proud of a girl like
her !

PS,
The Merc was good too

Thanks for the ride Ralph!!.....I’ll bet the ‘Ol Merc liked getting her “legs stretched” on the blacktop road. The Maples in the wet spots are really turning red around Southern Maine.......Mark

I get that comment often and I think it must be the camera that makes it look flatter than it is here. That trail into Grandpa's farm was all up and down, round and round corners dodging the deep sloughs that hold water in wet years. Out on the grid road its all gently rolling terrain. Can usually see the dust cloud of an approaching vehicle from several miles away when its this dry.
