Re: Muffler Question
Did anyone else besides Aries make a muffler to original dimensions? I think mine is an old steel Aries but I am not sure how long they have been in business.

I am thinking more of every day use. For the way most Model A's are driven (3000 miles or less a year) I think you will get 30+years. I just looked and its only $100 more so I do understand your decision. After spending some time on there webpage it looks like Aries makes a good muffler regardless of Steel or Stainless. I am just happy we have vendors like this. Ron |

Re: Muffler Question
I just went out and measured mine, and it is also 29.25 from seam to seam and looks a lot like yours. My guess is that Aries photo doesn't really list all the mufflers throughout history. You and I probably have a good aftermarket muffler made by somebody in the Carolinas back in the 70s or so.

Perhaps Aries does not show it because it's not one with high back pressure. |
