32 cabriolet sub rails

Will repro 32 roadster sub rails work in a 32 cabriolet.?? As I don’t believe anyone makes cabriolet sub rails.

I recommend 5w rails from United Pacific. I use the rear [trunk area forward] flat pan from a 5w in my cabriolet. The seat is a narrowed 4dr item. Others will answer. Newc

I agree with Newc on the 5 window rails.

5W doors are 26 1/2” roadster doors are 24 1/2” cabriolet doors are 27 1/2 . Don’t know if this affects the subrail or not at the B pillar . But will probably go with Newc suggestion , what ever we get we will just have to make fit. you can see why we want to replace the sub rails , 1/4” plate and tacked together parts with great gobs of filler and or silicone sealer . The brown stuff is from me sandblasting the hideous away.

I agree with Newc. The 5 window sub rails will work fine. Any good metal man can make the 1 inch adjustment in the sub rails to compensate for the added length of the cabriolet doors and fit the B pillar to the sub rail. You'll probably need 2 door sill plates because of the added length. cut to fit.

Repro sill plates are available in the tudor sedan flavor... only need to be cut.
