Default Leaking rear hubs/axle seals.

35/36 rear, new seals ,well 500mls. grease slinging out on the outer hub and inner seal area. Brakes are clean and dry ..Now anyway. Any thoughts appreciated.

Something like this. The steel ring of the seal facing the axle housing and the lip of the seal facing the hub carrier bearings.

That is not a 35-36 brake drum. You should check to make sure the rear is 35-36 if so the drums are too small in the hub.

Hey Terry, I've never built a 36 rear, though I have one that I'm going to get into. It has later hydraulic brakes/drums. What can you tell us about the stock 35-36 rear drums that we'd need to know about?
