Re: New guy
It's good to see another old car addict from Mississippi on here. What is your general location? The pics look like maybe the Delta area?

Re: New guy
Great to hear that you have "caught the bug" at such a young age. I got my firs flathead when I was 16...Be 70 in February.
Any help you need can be found on this site. Just remember "it's your vehicle" build it for you. Like was said before, make it safe and drive the wheels off of it. My current project, 52 F-1 has been a 10 year project. It has been drivable most of that time. Just enjoy the adventure. |

Re: New guy
Welcome to the Barn, 1949f1. Thought that I would enlarge your pictures, so that everybody can see them at once. How about a Picture of your Mercury. If you take pictures in "Landscape" rather than "Portrait", they come out much better when you Post them. Best of luck with your projects. Regards Mercman<>< |

Re: New guy
Finally the merc I wasn't able to take a landscape as it was too dark but this is the best I got. 1953 Monterey 4 door. Original v8 with original mercomatic transmission. The tag you see hanging from the rear view mirror is my student parking pass she's my daily driver to high school.

I have a set of those radiator pipes (no hoses) if you want them. I bought them before I knew that they wouldn't work on my 59AB. I would rather they go to someone who could use them instead of going on my scrap heap. PM me if you are interested. Joe. |
