I picked up a 1930 Tudor a few months ago. It has taken a little work to get it reliably running. I replaced the tires this past week.

The tires did not have a DOT. Anyone know when the DOT system was initiated? The mechanic who helped me estimated the tires were from the late 40's to early 50's.

The car also came with a previous set of wheels and tires. Wonder howold those tires are.
