Default front spring where to buy ?

I am needing to replace my front spring and perches on my 30 coupe, where can I buy the best quality spring and what are the best spring perches to buy , I see the spring perches listed as U.S.A manufacture and Import, also I see springs on e bay listed for $129.00 new, are the $129.00 springs worth installing on a frequent driver ? also who has the best quality front wheel bearings? I am considering trying an industrial bearing supplier for name brand bearings but the availability of quality Bearings from one of our Model A suppliers may be the best bet, what bearing do you all use ? Thanks.

Do a search but….don’t buy on eBay
I think Eaton Spring in MI is the best going these days.
Call Don Snyder, he’ll tell you if theirs are USA

I believe the suppliers catologs will tell you if their bearings are Timken. When I bought them they came in Timken boxes.

I just ordered a front spring from Eaton-Detroit. Took about two weeks to receive it. It’s not on my Tudor yet but it looks like a very well made quality spring. All the regular vendors were out of stock.

The Timken wheel bearings I bought a couple of months ago were all in Timken boxes yet were manufactured outside the USA. They fit fine. We’ll see how they last…….

Check speedway, I put a posie super slide on my 1930 - great spring at a great price. NOTE: it’s likely your “made in USA” springs are made from imported steel. The posie is Made in USA but the steel origin is not declared

Just recently received my front spring from Detroit Eaton. Haven’t installed but is USA made and looks quality made. Sent me emails as it progressed through the manufacturing process.

Timken bearings are of the best quality no matter where they are manufactured. There are off-brand Chinese products out there. Go for Timken every time.

That looks very well made to me glad to know it's USA made!

Looks great! You can definitely see the difference.

New springs will really change you cars ride and handling.

Enjoy.

I got mine from Model T Springs--or similar name- from CT. Advertised as US made. Looked good, and fit good, but car isn't road-ready yet.

Travis Cook has retired and is no longer producing springs.

I got mine at Snyders. Changed it using a floor jack, jackstand, and a couple small sections of 2 x 4s, and a hammer. Didn't take long at all. Made a big difference. Mine kept cracking leaves into, and that is why I changed it.
