Default Other Vendors ?

I need a simple part ('37 R.H. taillight bracket/stand). Reproduction shown in every catalog, but every vendor is "out of stock". I know this is nothing new, a sign of the times we are living in. One vendor said "they may never make another production run on that."

But before I give up and attempt to have mine welded, I want to check with every vendor. So my request to you'all is:

What other sources are out there that I can check?

I already checked these:
Third Generation
Joe's
Bob Drake
Dennis Carpenter
Midwest Early parts
Macs
eBay
Little Dearborn (phone disconnected)

I have had success posting want ads on FB and in the EFV8 classifieds. Not everyone visits these websites often so it may take awhile.
Also there are several other sources for NOS parts, others will chime in with their favorites.,

I wonder if this auction site listing is what you're after? It sorta looks like a LH side with the license plate bracket.

There were two different RH taillight brackets for the 1937 passenger cars, 78-13470-A and 78-13470-B. The -A is used on more body styles than the -B. The -B is for body styles 78-740 and 78-750, convertible sedan and phaeton. Which body style do you have?

The 78-13470-B is a little bit longer than the 78-13470-A support.

Thanks, Zeke. Is a tudor slant back. So should take the more common 78-13470-A.

The pic in #4 of the Ebay item is different, is the light and license plate holder for a left side. No bracket(stand) included there.

I checked the three vendors in #2.....no luck with them either.

I do have wanted ads running on FordBarn and on V8 Club site.

I may have to have it welded. Is cast pot metal or white metal (same thing?), so maybe that will make it tricky. I'm in a big working-class city, so should be able to get it done.

But sure would have been nice to be able to just order one from one of the usual vendors. Couple years ago it would have been that easy. But not now! Ugh!

Thanks everyone for your input.

See this post on the Model A board. Might be worth a phone call.

We MAKE them (at least the common coupe/convertible/sedan ones) right here in Oregon, USA. Cast aluminum. Spendy but available!

Found one! Thanks for your help. Here's the info:

Called Iron Trap Garage. Left message, no call back yet.
Called Southside Absolete. Couldn't leave message, message box full.
Called the Model A source. Left message, no call back yet.
Was about to call Wescotts Auto, but....

All Ford Parts in Cambell, Ca. had one. NOS. Expensive, but that's to be expected if you are buying NOS.

Thanks for the references.
